DWHOS Seminar Series, Climate Change Webinar Recording, Economic Impact of GoM Published Paper

The University of Southern Mississippi Gulf Coast Research Laboratory (GCRL) is offering a free seminar series on the Deepwater Horizon spill. The series will kick off on the fifth anniversary of the spill, April 20 at 6PM at the Caylor Auditorium. The seminars “offers a retrospective exploration of the spill through presentations by research staff and discussions among speakers, education staff and attendees to answer pressing questions.” The series concludes with GOMURC board member and Interim Director of GCRL, Dr. Monty Graham's presentation Where do we go from here? Future directions in oil spill research on July 13. Visit here for more details.

 

The recording for Climate Change, Community Resilience, and Restoration in the Gulf of Mexico, a webinar cohosted by GOMURC, the Environmental Law Institute, and the four Gulf of Mexico Sea Grant Programs, is available for viewing. Members from GOMURC’s Board of Directors published a paper in the Gulf of Mexico Science journal vol. 31 nos. 1/2, 2013.
