Louisiana Trustees seeking restoration proposals

The Louisiana NRDA Trustee Implementation Group (TIG) is seeking proposals regarding natural resource restoration opportunities in Louisiana under the following restoration types:

  • Provide and Enhance Recreational Opportunities
  • Nutrient Reduction (Non-Point source).

Information on these restoration types and the Oil Pollution Act and criteria against which project ideas are being evaluated can be found in the Gulf Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council’s comprehensive restoration plan.

BY AUGUST 14, 2017, submit new restoration project ideas for consideration within these restoration types to the Trustees’ project portal or to the State of Louisiana’s portal. If you have submitted project ideas in the past to either portal, or in connection with other Louisiana restoration planning efforts, including Louisiana’s Coastal Master Plan and Deepwater Horizon restoration planning efforts, you do not need to resubmit those ideas. Instead, send an email to LATIG@LA.gov and reference the method of and date of submittal of previously submitted proposals, and we will retrieve and consider them.

Projects submitted after the deadline will be considered in future restoration planning efforts.  Contact LATIG@LA.gov if you have any questions.
